• At East View, a big task of mine was implementing systems and ways of interacting with customers. The philosophy I brought was: help customers one at a time, and treat every drink as a valuable moment shared between two souls.

  • In addition to my role as manager and overseer of operations, I had the opportunity to do a refresh of the brand’s photography. This photography is now used on google, and East View’s website to portray their story and dedication to excellence.

  • I had the opportunity to influence major design decisions going forward with East View. This included their new bag designs and layout of their café.

At East View, I discovered the pointlessness of philosophy unless you’re able to live out what you believe. I learned how difficult it is to maintain your values in a commercial environment that wants you to change to suit the customers needs. Simultaneously, this showed the importance of choosing your values, and adhering to them.
